With its 1,456 m the Buchensteinwand rises high in the middle of the Pillerseetal and offers a splendid view of the Kitzbühel Alps, the Wilde Kaiser, Hohe Tauern, Waidringer Steinplatte as well as the Lofer and Leogang Mountains – and even the highest mountain in Austria „the Großglockner“ with its 3,798 m above sea level is visible to the naked eye.
